Rewiring & repairs
Central Massachusetts has a lot of houses that were wired for a different century. Cloth-covered cable, crowded boxes, and added-on circuits are common.
Rewiring is not always a whole-house project. Often it is a kitchen, a second floor, or the circuits an inspector refused. Dennis traces what is actually in the walls, replaces the circuits that need it, and leaves the ones that are still sound.
Repairs cover the everyday failures too: dead outlets, breakers that trip under a normal load, open grounds, and fixtures that were tied together in a way that will not pass a careful look. You get an explanation before the wall comes open.
When to call
- Outlets are ungrounded and a renovation is opening the walls anyway
- You smell heat or see scorch marks at a device
- An older addition was wired with extension-cord logic
- A home inspection listed electrical defects
