Outlets & safety

Kitchens, baths, basements, and outdoor walls are where missing protection shows up first. A standard outlet in those places is often the wrong device.

We install interior and exterior GFCI protection, add arc-fault breakers where the code calls for them, and run dedicated circuits so a microwave, freezer, or sump pump is not sharing a line with half the room.

Outlet, switch, and device upgrades are also how older homes catch up: grounded receptacles where the wiring allows, tamper-resistant devices, and replacements for cracked or painted-over plates. If a circuit keeps tripping, we troubleshoot it instead of swapping parts until something stays on.

When to call

  • Bath, kitchen, or outdoor outlets have no test and reset buttons
  • A new appliance needs its own circuit
  • A breaker trips and will not stay on
  • Devices are cracked, loose, or warm to the touch
